Cholula, Heroica Puebla De Zaragoza.
Today you will leave Mexico City and head to Puebla. On the way, you will stop in Cholula, a "pueblo mágico" in the Puebla region, considered one of the oldest cities in America. You will walk through the colorful streets of this student city and see the Great Pyramid in the distance. At the top of the pyramid is the church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, built by the Spaniards. An incredible view of the city and the Popocatepetl, Iztaccihuatl, Citlaltepetl and Malinche volcanoes. On the way down, you can visit the archaeological site. Continuation to Puebla. Known for its resistance to the French invasion, it still has the vestiges of this conflict that you will be able to admire during your excursion in the center. Religion is another facet of Puebla, as the city has many religious buildings that have earned it the name of Puebla de los Angeles. You will be able to make a detour to the house of Benito Juarez, the first mestizo president of the country and emblematic, nicknamed "the worthy of honor of America". You will finish by visiting the local market, one of the most animated and colorful in Mexico City, with the intoxicating scents of unknown spices and the shimmering colors of silky fabrics. Today you will visit the archaeological site of Mitla. After the fall of Monte Alban in 750 AD, Mitla served as the new political and religious center of the Zapotecs, which they called "Lyobaan" meaning "place of rest. The latter built palaces and monuments before the Mixtecs moved in, renaming the site "Mictlán", the place of the dead. Continuation in the afternoon to Hierve el Agua, one of the most visited natural thermal baths of Mexico. Characterized by its turquoise pools and petrified waterfalls at the edge of the ravine, it is the ideal place to take unforgettable photos. Return to Oaxaca at the end of the day.
