After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning tour to discover the magnificent Sicilian volcano and taste some local culinary delights. You'll have the opportunity to explore the various craters, caves, and lava formations that have been created throughout the volcano's rich history. The path you’ll be walking will cross some of the 7 craters located on the summit of the volcano. The seven craters were formed as a result of the explosive eruptions of 1865. As this material fell back to the ground, it accumulated and formed cone-shaped craters. What will surprise you about these craters will undoubtedly be their colorful nature, with bright yellow sulfur deposits visible in some of the craters! As you make your way up the mountain, the terrain will become more challenging, but the rewards will be worth it. The panoramic views from the top of Mount Etna are truly awe-inspiring, and the fresh mountain air will invigorate you as you take in the stunning vistas. In sunny weather you’ll be able to see a panoramic view from Calabria to Taormina, and sometimes it’s possible to see Stromboli Island too! Prepare your camera and take as many photos as possible to create lifetime memories! Overnight in Taormina.

After breakfast at the hotel, depart to discover the stunning baroque centers of Sicily. The first stop on the tour will be the historic center of Syracuse: Ortigia. Meet up with a local guide who will introduce you, from outside, to the Cathedral, the Aretusa fountain and many other attractions of the city centre. Syracuse’s Archaeological Park is one of many historic attractions on the island, but few are so complete. That’s your second stop on the tour after leaving Ortigia, and you’re going to be blown away. Constructed five centuries before Christ and then rebuilt eight centuries later, it’s centred around the Teatro Greco, a 16,000-seat amphitheater. Other key sites you shouldn’t miss include the Latomia del Paradiso, the limestone quarry from which the stone that built the city was extracted. The last stop will be Noto, one of the most picturesque locations in Sicily, and possibly even of all Italy. The Baroque city which lies southwest of Syracuse is known for its Baroque architecture. You’ll have an hour of free time to take in as much as you can of the elegant palazzi and churches. If you’re unsure where to go in your free time, the Corso Vittorio Emanuele is always a good bet. There’ll be a stop for a surprise tasting too before heading back to Taormina. Overnight in Taormina.
